How to help with translations

I recommend that you download the game on itch.io, open the "tl" folder, and edit the RPY files in the "pt" folder (The files from the Portuguese translation) and change the Portuguese part with your language. Then, just play the game to see if it worked.


It's also recommended to use some code editing software to open the RPY files and view the words with different colors (which would make it easier to work), but you can probably open by simple notepad software as well.


Translation lines may be in two different ways.1: With texts to be translated below the default text (that starts by "#")

2: With the standard text after "Old:" and the text of the translation after "new:"

In both cases, just replace Portuguese translated texts of the basis files with the language you want to translate.


Important Considerations:
✨ If I receive more complete translations or realize that the translation is not good or leave bugs, I must consider replacing the said translation with a new one, maybe allowing another translator to use it as basis to fix it. Please only contribute if you agree with this.
✨ It's recommended that dialogues be written as everyday speeches according to characters personalities, so it can feel like natural dialogues. Except for the narrator's lines and the choice options, that should be more like a reader.
✨ The game is constantly changing, so some translations may be out of place with the change of some dialogues.
✨ Do not change texts that are within {} and [], as they are codes and variables (like character names) and any change may cause errors in the game and leave your translation unfeasible;
✨From version 0.10 of the game, I intend to export the game in a way that allows translations to be open to anyone to open. If all goes well, it may be easier to translate while testing the game.
✨ If you can't finish the translation but want to contribute what you could do. You can submit only the files you made, and remove all the non-translated lines if you have left any.


Then, you just need to send an email to this adress containing:
✨ The RPY files with your translation;
✨ Info about which language you translated;
✨ The name you'd like to be credited;
